4. Online presence and website optimisation

Cookies – general information

We use cookies on our websites. Cookies are small text files that your browser automatically creates and stores on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website. Cookies do not pose any kind of threat to your end device and do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware. Cookies contain information that is generated in connection with the specific end device used. However, this does not mean that we obtain direct information about your identity through cookies. One reason for using cookies is to make access more convenient for you. We therefore use so-called session cookies to determine whether you have already visited individual pages of our websites. These cookies are automatically deleted when you close our website. We also use temporary cookies to ensure user-friendly website operation; these cookies are stored on your end device for a specific period of time. If you revisit our website to use the services we offer, the fact that you have already visited the website, as well as the entries and settings you have made, will be automatically recognised so that you do not have to enter them again.

We also use cookies to compile statistics on the use of our website and to evaluate how we can optimise our services, as well as to display information specifically selected for you. When you revisit our website, cookies allow us to automatically recognise that you have already visited our website. These cookies are automatically deleted after a certain period of time. Most browsers automatically accept the use of cookies.

However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer, or so that a prompt is always displayed before a new cookie is created. However, completely disabling cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website. The storage period of cookies depends on their purpose and is not the same for all cookies.

Google Analytics and Google Optimize

In order to create a needs-based service and ensure continuous optimisation of our websites in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). We also use the Google Optimize website extension. Anonymous user profiles are created, in which cookies are used. The information obtained by the cookies about your activities on this website includes, for example:

  • time of the server request,

We use Google Analytics only when IP address anonymisation is activated. This means that Google shortens users' IP addresses in the member states of the European Union and the member states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Users can configure their browser settings to block the storage of cookies. However, we would like to point out that this may mean that not all functions offered by the website can be used. Users can prevent the collection and processing by Google of data generated by cookies relating to their use of the website (IP address) by downloading and installing a browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

As an alternative to the browser plugin or for browsers on mobile devices, it is possible to install an opt-out cookie that prevents further Google Analytics data collection on this website.

Google AdWords online advertising programme

The targeting measures listed below and used by us are carried out in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). With the targeting measures we use, we aim to ensure that only advertisements that correspond to your actual or desired interests are displayed on your end devices. It is in both your interests and ours not to burden you with advertisements that are of no interest to you.

We use the Google AdWords online advertising programme on this website and, as part of this, carry out conversion tracking. These cookies are set when a user clicks on an advertisement placed by Google. Third-party service providers, including Google, place advertisements on websites and use the stored cookies to place advertisements based on the user's previous visits to these websites. These AdWords cookies have a term of 30 days, while gclid identifier cookies have a term of 90 days, and they are not used to identify individuals. Google may transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where third parties process the information on behalf of Google. Google will in no case associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

Data collection and storage can be deactivated at any time, and this will remain effective going forward. You can disable Google's use of cookies on the Google advertising opt-out page. You can also disable conversion tracking cookies by configuring your browser to block cookies from the domain "googleadservices.com". However, we would like to point out that this may mean that not all functions offered by the website can be used.

Google Remarketing and DoubleClick

Google uses DoubleClick cookies on Google Network websites and for specific Google services to support AdWords customers and publishers in placing and managing advertisements on the web. When you access a website and open or click on an advertisement placed on a Google Network website, DoubleClick cookies may be sent to your browser. The DoubleClick cookies sent to your browser are the same as those used when visiting websites that use the DoubleClick advertising programme. If your browser already contains DoubleClick cookies, no other DoubleClick cookies will be sent.

Additional information about DoubleClick cookies in connection with the DoubleClick advertising programme is available in the DoubleClick Privacy Policy FAQ section: http://www.google.com/doubleclick/

5. Integration of services and third-party content

General information

In accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests) and with the aim of increasing awareness of our company, we use the following social network plugins on our website: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Google+. The associated commercial interest is considered a legitimate interest within the meaning of the GDPR. Responsibility for ensuring that activities comply with data privacy regulations lies with the respective service provider.

In our online services, we also use content and services provided by third parties in order to integrate their content and services into our website, such as videos or fonts, in accordance with our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in analysing and optimising the online service and ensuring its economic operation in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR / on the basis of your consent as set out in Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Google reCAPTCHA

In accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests), we use the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google Inc. (hereinafter "Google"). This request determines whether an input was made by a person or whether it was an incorrect automated computer access. The request includes the transmission of the IP address and, where necessary, other data to Google that it requires to provide the reCAPTCHA service. For this purpose, your input is transmitted to Google, where further processing of the data takes place. By using reCAPTCHA, you agree that your recognition may be used for the digitisation of older works. However, when IP address anonymisation is activated on this website, Google shortens your IP address in the member states of the European Union and the member states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google uses this information on behalf of the website operator to evaluate use of this service. As part of reCAPTCHA, the IP address transmitted by your browser will not be combined with any other data held by Google about you. Google's various data privacy regulations also apply to this data.

Additional information about Google's data privacy regulations is available at: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps to display maps and plan routes. Google Maps is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. By using this website, the user agrees that both automatically collected data and data entered by the user (including the IP address) may be stored, processed and used by Google, one of its representatives or a third-party service provider. Data processing takes place on the basis of your consent as set out in Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. The Google Maps terms of use are available at: https://www.google.com/help/terms_maps/

Further information about transparency and choices, as well as data privacy regulations, is available in the data privacy centre at google.de: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Google Tag Manager

Based on our legitimate interest (i.e. the interest in ensuring the technical operation of the website, tag management and compliance with consent requirements, as well as fulfilling transparency and legal obligations under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), this website uses Google Tag Manager. This is a tag management service provided by Google LLC (formerly Google Inc.), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland is responsible for the service in the European Union – hereinafter referred to as "Google".

This service allows website tags to be managed via an interface. Google Tag Manager implements scripts and general services on our website according to defined rules and triggers. These services may in turn use cookies, tracking pixels or similar technologies and may also collect data. Google Tag Manager itself is not a tracking or analytics service – it enables the integration of such services, as well as opt-out scripts and similar functions. Google Tag Manager is therefore an important tool for ensuring transparency and compliance with data protection obligations. For example, based on the consent you provide in our cookie management tool, we can use this service to control whether analytics or advertising services are integrated into our website.

Google Tag Manager is not intended to independently analyse user behaviour. However, when the website is accessed and the Google Tag Gateway function is not used, your device downloads a JavaScript file "gtm.js" from Google servers, which may be located in the United States, and stores it locally. As with any internet transmission, the IP address of the user's device and metadata such as the browser version used are inevitably transmitted in this case, unless this has been changed in your device settings or extensions. Google Tag Manager itself does not set cookies; data storage or reading on the user's device is only possible through separately integrated services according to the configuration.

Additional information about Google Tag Manager and Google's data protection is available at the following links:

https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/tag-manager/use-policy/

https://policies.google.com/privacy

https://policies.google.com/terms

Users have the option to prevent the transmission of analytics and marketing tags from Google Tag Manager in the future. To do this, the user must click on this opt-out link to set a Google Tag Manager deactivation cookie in their internet browser. This blocks the loading of certain analytics and marketing tags via Google Tag Manager only in this browser, but not in other browsers and/or devices. Existing cookies are not deleted. We also expressly point out that in this case users may no longer be able to use all functions of the website. If you delete all cookies in your browser, the opt-out cookie will need to be set again.

YouTube

In accordance with our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in analysing and optimising the online service and ensuring its economic operation in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), YouTube service functions are integrated into the Jungheinrich website for displaying and playing videos. These functions are provided by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave. San Bruno, CA 94066 USA. Further information is available in YouTube's data privacy regulations.

In this case, a higher privacy mode is used, in which, according to the service provider, user information is only stored when video playback is started. If you start playing an embedded YouTube video, YouTube uses cookies to collect information about user activity. According to information provided by YouTube, the data is used, among other things, to compile video statistics, improve usability and prevent misuse. Regardless of whether the embedded video is played or not, a connection to Google's "DoubleClick" network is established each time the Jungheinrich website is accessed, resulting in further data processing over which Jungheinrich has no influence.

Users can obtain further information about how YouTube uses cookies in YouTube's data privacy notice at:https://www.youtube.com/about/policies/#community-guidelines
